Forsyth School_Head Search

On September 4, 2020, Dan Hildebrand announced his retirement as Head of School at the end of the current 2020/21 academic year, following a three-year tenure at Forsyth.

The Board of Trustees, led by President Kelly Richert, immediately began to plan for the search for Forsyth's next Head of School. The Board selected Jon Giokas as Chair of the Search Committee and hired The Education Group to conduct the national search:

Position Statement

Forsyth School is seeking a leader committed to maintaining the school’s strong academic culture as well as focusing on the important aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The next Head of School must be innovative, initiative, and adaptive—someone who prioritizes faculty leadership while making sure that Forsyth remains competitive within the St. Louis independent school market. The start date for the position is July 1, 2021.

Interested candidates should provide a resume, cover letter, statement of philosophy on leadership, and list of five professional references (with contact information for each) in a single attachment to The Education Group by November 5, 2020. Candidates will be evaluated as applications are received.
