38 Entries, 40 Awards

Forsyth School had a record 38 entries in the 2016 Greater St. Louis Science Fair that garnered 40 awards! Forsyth kids did an amazing job.

Forsyth School students in Senior-Kindergarten – Grade 5 received:

>> 18 BLUE ribbon awards (first place)

>> 13 RED ribbon awards (second place)

>> 7 GREEN ribbon awards (third place)

>> plus 2 special awards from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics of St. Louis and the Philpott Family

Take a look at the awards list!

Clearly, Forsyth kids are passionate about science. Fortunately, their parents are too. Special thanks to retired Forsyth School science teacher Gary Schimmelpfenig and our seven parent volunteers who served as judges at the Greater St. Louis Science Fair. Without these volunteer judges, we could not have entered this record number of projects. Lower School science teacher Christine Torlina and Upper School (Grades 2-5) science teacher Sharon Anibal inspire kids on a daily basis with firsthand science experiences, and it shows.
