Faculty & Staff Spotlight | John McGinley, Grade 5

Which historical figure would you like to be?
Abraham Lincoln. Growing up on the Illinois side of The River, it's impossible not to gain an appreciation of Abe. A self-made man and a heck of a debater, he was true to his convictions and provided unwavering leadership though one of the toughest chapters in our nation's history. A true leader. I could not handle the beard, though.

What secret conspiracy would you like to start?
My inner skeptic would love to run with this, but in the current era of media and legit versus fake news, I'll pass.

What do you love about Forsyth?
There's so much to love:  talented colleagues, supportive parents, outstanding students, a renowned curriculum. Something that stands out to me, though, is that you truly get the sense that our students see Forsyth as their second home. Maybe it's the houses and the unique nature of the campus, but there is something about this school community that allows the kids to feel comfortable in all corners of this beautifully quirky campus.
