FORSYTH FAMILY ORGANIZATION
At the pre-primary and elementary school level, children love to see their families at school! Forsyth provides many occasions for families (including parents, siblings, and Grand Friends) to come together: lower school assemblies, upper school plays and living museums, Grand Friends Day, I Heart Reading Day, May Day, and so many more!
The Forsyth Family Organization (FFO) is comprised of all current Forsyth families and contributes to the school culture. The FFO provides opportunities for families to get involved and connect with other families through special events, community service projects, and volunteerism.
To enhance the classroom experience for students and teachers; make people feel welcome and appreciated; create a sense of community for all Forsyth families; and raise funds for school needs
Jagu Anadkat and Sarah Plumb, Forsyth Family Organization Co-Presidents
Megan Broeckling, Special Events & Volunteer Coordinator
There are numerous committees in which parents can become involved through the FFO: Room Parents, You've Got a Friend, Community Service, New Family Ice Cream Social, Fall Picnic, Forsyth Golf Classic, Grand Friends Day, Book Fair, I Heart Reading Day, biennial Forsyth Auction or Trivia Night, Celebration of Cultures Potluck, Green & White Day, and more. Signature events like the Fall Picnic and Celebration of Cultures Potluck are annual family traditions. Volunteers play an especially important role in Green & White Day, Forsyth’s all-school field day held each year in May.
